About Us

OUR STORY

Talking Body is a black-owned fashion brand founded by Bukola Biola Omoleye, with hands-on fabric and a quiet but persistent question.  Why should clothing limit how we express who we are?  So much of fashion tells us to pick a lane. One look. One identity. One version of ourselves.  But real life doesn’t work that way. We shift. We evolve. We show up differently in different moments, spaces, and seasons. Talking Body was created to honor that movement.

What began as Bukola’s personal exploration of design and self-expression grew into a brand rooted in intention. Each piece is thoughtfully made, not just to be worn, but to move with the person wearing it. From statement jackets to everyday essentials, the focus is always the same: confidence, flexibility, and presence.

Reversible designs became part of that language. Not as a gimmick, but as a reflection of identity itself. One garment, multiple expressions. Just like the people who wear it.
Every detail matters. The cut. The fabric. The way a piece feels when you step into it. Because clothing should never feel restrictive. It should feel like an extension of who you already are, not a costume you have to live up to.

Talking Body isn’t about trends.  It’s about expression.  It’s about wearing your story without explaining it. This is clothing for people who understand that identity is layered, evolving, and unapologetically personal.

Dare to Be Seen.

OUR  MISSION

At Talking Body, our mission is to create expressive, high-quality clothing that reflects the many identities within our community. Each piece is designed to celebrate individuality, spark confidence, and bring joy to the everyday.

We are committed to inclusivity and creativity, blending contemporary design with cultural expression to create clothing that feels personal, bold, and alive.

The mantra is simple. When you look good, you feel good. And that joy is meant to be shared.
